Article IV. SCHOOL FEES

Section 1. Payment of School Fees
School fees can be paid either in full or through installments, with the following options available:
-
Full Payment. Students who choose to pay their tuition fees in full within the first two weeks of classes are eligible for a 10% discount on the total tuition amount. Payments made within this period are considered as good as cash, and the discount will be applied automatically to those who meet this deadline.
-
Installment Payment. For those opting for installment payments, rebates may be available based on the payment schedule. The rebate amount varies for students depending on the number of units they are enrolled in for the semester. However, this rebate does not apply to students who receive scholarships from the school.
Section 2. Schedule of Payment for Installment
-
For each semester, the payment of school fees on an installment basis will be divided into eight payment schedules. Payments are due on the 1st and 16th of each month. This structured schedule allows students to manage their financial commitments effectively throughout the semester.
Section 3. Withdrawal of Enrollment
1. Enrollment Registration Fee
• No refunds will be issued for the enrollment registration fee upon withdrawal from the institution, regardless of whether the student is temporarily admitted or officially enrolled, whether classes have begun, the number of days since enrollment, or the number of classes attended.
2. Refund Policy for Full Payment
• Students who have paid their tuition fees in full and choose to withdraw after two weeks from the start of classes will not be eligible for a refund of their total payment, regardless of attendance.
• No refund will be issued from the required advance payment if the student withdraws enrollment within or during the first week of classes.
3. First Installment Policy
• If the student withdraws after the first week of classes, they will be held accountable for the payment of the first installment of the tuition fee, regardless of attendance or whether an official withdrawal notice is submitted.
4. Official Withdrawal Procedure
• To effect an official withdrawal, students must submit a formal letter of request for withdrawal or dropping of enrollment to the School Head, signed by both the student and a parent or guardian.
• Students shall be held liable for the payment of installment dues based on the date the written request is received and officially approved by the school. Installment terms and schedules will take effect only upon approval of the request.
5. Final Period Withdrawal
• If a student withdraws enrollment during the final period of the semester, they will still be held accountable for the full tuition fee, whether or not an official written notice of withdrawal is submitted and regardless of attendance.
6. Unofficial Withdrawal
• No refunds will be granted for unofficial withdrawals or dropping out of classes, regardless of attendance. Students will remain accountable for the full balance of the school fees for the entire semester.
Section 4. Deferments
Students enrolled at Southern Tech College Foundation, Incorporated (STCFI) who, for valid reasons, are unable to continue their studies for the current semester may apply for deferment. The following conditions apply to deferment:
-
Application for Deferment. Students must formally apply for deferment if they cannot continue their studies for the semester for which they are enrolled.
-
Financial Adjustments. The school will deduct the amount intended for the down payment from the total payment made. The remaining amount will be applied toward the deferment.
-
Re-enrollment. Students granted deferment must enroll in the following semester to utilize the deferred payment. Failure to enroll in the subsequent semester will result in the forfeiture of all payments made.
-
Forfeiture of Payments. Payments made will be forfeited if the student does not enroll in the semester following the deferment period.
